The teen star performed a few fan favorites, including "Baby" and "I'll Never Let You Go." But Bieber mixed things up a bit when he busted out French lyrics on the first verse of "One Less Lonely Girl," before finishing the song in English.
He then told the crowd, "I need everyone to take out their cell phones," before launching into "I'll Never Let You Go." The crowd then bounced along with him to new single "Baby" as Bieber was joined onstage by his collaborator on the song, Ludacris. Highlighting the reason everyone had come together for the show, Bieber changed the chorus to "Baby, baby, Haiti." As he wrapped up his performance he told the crowd, "Donate to Haiti, everybody. Thank you very much. God bless."
Bieber was one of the many performers in a concert that included Robin Thicke and India.Arie, Chris Brown, Wyclef Jean, Mary J. Blige, Akon and Monica. All money raised at the telethon will be going to several charities, including Project Media Share, Yele Haiti, C.A.R.E. and Procter & Gamble's Children's Safe Water Program. Pharrell said earlier in the night, "Haiti is a world away and tonight we're here to close that gap. We're here so that they know the world is watching — Haiti, we're here for you."
